Les Garner Kiwanis AwardClick Here to download the Nomination Form Our division created the Les Garner Kiwanis Award to honor and memorialize our friend Les and his many contributions to Kiwanis and the community. His outgoing nature, integrity, and advocacy of Kiwanis rightfully earned him the nickname “Mr. Kiwanis.” It is our hope that in some small way this award will help to remind us all of how he perfectly embodied the Kiwanis Spirit. It is now time to find a special member of the Kiwanis family to honor with this prestigious award. While no one will be able to fill Les’ shoes, the recipient of this award will possess some of his many characteristics and will have unselfishly offered contributions to Kiwanis and the community, including raising funds for children’s charities, consistently attending Kiwanis meetings, functions, and conventions, visiting other clubs, bringing joy and integrity to Kiwanis, being a Kiwanis advocate, helping to recruit others to serve, and giving of his own time and resources. Attached is the nomination form, which can be emailed to klennox@suddenlink.net or mailed to Kathryn Lennox Lloyd at 2262 Franklin Drive; Winterville, NC 28590. Nomination forms are due no later than February 12, 2010. The award will be presented at Kiwanis One Day on April 10, 2010.
