Kiwanis Division 17 Presents Inaugural Award to Todd Siebels
The Les Garner Award was presented to Todd Siebels of the University City Kiwanis Club
on May 21 at the Pitt County Shrine Club. The award was part of the Les Garner Award Banquet
and Raffle, a fundraiser benefiting the Les Garner-Kiwanis Teen Lounge at UHS Children’s Hospital.
The Garner Award is to recognize those who unselfishly offer contributions to Kiwanis and the
community, including raising funds for children’s charities, consistently attending Kiwanis meetings,
functions, and conventions, visiting other clubs, bringing joy and integrity to Kiwanis, being a Kiwanis advocate, helping to recruit others to serve, and giving of his or her own time and resources. (read more)
Les Garner Kiwanis Teen Lounge Project Update

The Children's Hospital Teen Lounge is on track to be completed in June 2010. It will be a getaway room for teenagers complete with an HDTV, computers, electronic games, and more. The Division 17 committment is to raise $30,000 over a three year period. (read more) |
